| Vulcan Industries has manufactured the largest
reciprocating rake bar screens in the world. Five
Mensch Crawler Bar Screens produced for Jefferson
County, Alabama extend 113 feet from the channel
invert to the top of the unit. With fully submersible
hydraulic drives, these units remove screenings from
a channel 90 feet deep! From 1998 to 2003 Vulcan
Industries has manufactured over 600 Mensch Crawler
Bar Screens. |

ABOUT
OUR COMPANY
Founded in 1975 and incorporated in 1978 as a specialty
manufacturer of equipment for the water and wastewater
treatment markets, Vulcan Industries has grown to become
one of the top manufacturers known for our top quality
and innovations.
The company started in a modest building
in Magnolia, Iowa, and in 1986 moved to the current headquarters
and manufacturing facility in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Worldwide,
Vulcan has completed thousands of jobs on five different
continents.
What started as a small business has become a full-line
manufacturer with 40,300 sq.ft. of production space
and 50 employees. At the Missouri Valley headquarters
our design and manufacturing takes place, from the initial
drawings, to the manufacturing, to the design and programming
of the related control panels.

Ongoing projects include six (6) 12’-0”
wide x 78’-6” tall Mensch Crawler Bar Screens
for the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commissioners WWTP in
Newark, NJ – Greeley and Hansen is the consulting
engineer and two (2) 7’-0” wide Model ESR
28 Stair Screens for the North WWTP in Ruston, LA. These
are possibly the widest screens of their type in the
United States. Black & Veatch is the consulting
engineer. Four (4) Model EWP 250/1200 Washing Presses
are being provided to the Southerly WWTP in Columbus,
OH. Malcolm Pirnie is the consulting engineer.
